We are here to assist you in finding the best au pair that fits your needs and facilitate the process. The process is highly personalized and specific to each host family.

The matching process begins once you send your application in to Agent Au Pair. After we receive your application, we will schedule an in-home interview with your local community counselor. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure your home is well-suited for an au pair and to answer any questions you may have. As soon as the interview is complete, the placement specialist will review pre-selected candidates who meet your criteria.  Host families can view several candiates at once.

An Agent Au Pair representative interviews each candidate in person. Au pairs are accepted into the program only after they have met our strict admission criteria, as well as that of the U.S. Department of State.

Exclusive Matching

We learn about your family’s needs and interests through your program application and the interview conducted by your local community counselor. Agent Au Pair takes your family’s needs and requests into consideration when reviewing prospective au pair applications and then pre-selects the most compatible candidates for you based on your specific criteria.

Throughout the matching process, you are the only family reviewing your au pair; you are not in competition with other families while you decide.  If you have questions or need clarification with any details on the application, the placement specialist assigned to you will guide you through the process.

Once you find an au pair who captivates your interest, you will conduct an interview over the phone and correspond by email. Agent Au Pair provides tips and information on conducting the initial phone interview and communicating with potential au pair candidates.

Visa Documentation Processing

After you select an au pair, Agent Au Pair takes care of all the arrangements. We complete all the visa paperwork, make necessary travel arrangements and schedule the au pair’s training.
