2014 Agent Au Pair Application Checklist:  The following list is required to complete the processing of your application.  The format for the forms is PDF Auto-Fill.  Download Adobe document, fill it out on-line, and email it to

How to get started:

  1. Download the Host Family Application from the website.

  2. Download the Employment Reference and have your employer fill it out. The Employment Reference should show verification that the host family earns sufficient income to support a live-in au pair. One Employment Reference required per family. If both host parents are self-employed, please submit 2 Personal References.

  3. Download the Personal Reference. A Personal Reference should be submitted by a long-time friend or neighbor attesting to the nature of your host family home environment.

Items 1, 2, and 3 should be downloaded, filled in and sent back. The PDF documents are in Auto Fill mode, so they should be filled out, saved and sent in by email. Your application will go directly to the placement manager. The email address to send the forms to is:

Download the PAF (Payment Authorization Form) and fill out the credit card information (Note: This step does not need to be completed for a waived application fee).  Send the completed form by fax to 415.373.3741 or by email it to

Upon receipt of your application, the placement manager will forward the Host Family Agreement for your review and signature. Please reveiw, sign and send back.

The local community counselor will contact you directly to set up your In-Home Interview.

The placement manager will call you to review your application and discuss your placement.  She will discuss with you your criteria for your new au pair. Once your criteria is noted, you will go into matching.  The matching process will be discussed with you at length and you will begin viewing the profiles of available au pair candidates who meet your criteria.  The placement manager will work closely with you during the matching process.
